I can't start opening with Mozilla Firefox. I can with Internet Explorer but not Firefox?

Firefox is my browser of choice and where most of my files are. I have had problems with computer freezing (not responding). I've checked all I know and find nothing wrong with computer. Can anyone help me. Thanks, Judy
