Suburbs of Indy?

I need to find a nice area to the south of Indy, not far from St. Francis Hospital. I've heard Greenwood is nice. Is crime a problem? What about shopping and restaurants? My husband wants to find about 5 acres of land...is there any left there? (I'm fom Chicago, and I would love to find an area like Oak Brook or Naperville, but less congested.)
