This zebra finch male or female?

They both have the orange cheek patches, which means they are males. I've had males get excited and jump on each other but quickly jump off when they realize there is no female. Males will also go into a nest or build a nest. If they are close to one year of age, then they are ready to breed. This doesn't mean that they have to breed. Your male finches may be bonded to one another, but they aren't in love. I don't see any eggs coming from your pair of zebra finches. You would need a female, which has no orange cheek patches, for that to happen.
