Why is Rep. Ron Paul so cranky?

He doesn't like the Fed, doesn't like the UN. Those are nonsensical positions. We are better with a Fed, doing something on monetary policy than without it. Better having the UN with people keeping an eye on each other's votes than not having everyone at the same table.
