To fellow Pagans...I need three nocturnal animals whose symbolism is linked with the moon, preferably...?

I love creating Pagan-based art work and am currently working on a Pagan/medieval watercolor illustration. The description: There is a banner flowing behind a large Moon (old man in the Moon image.) On the banner it says in illuminated letters "Once in a blue moon." The background and borders around the picture are all done with medieval motifs. It looks good but it needs three animals/insects to fill in some space. To fit in with the theme they need to be nocturnal and preferrably somehow symbolically linked with the moon. I was thinking an owl, luna moth and perhaps rabbit, but I'm not sure if the rabbit is symbolic in any way with the moon. Any other suggestions?
